Strawberry Feast

Strawberry Feast: 26ht - 28th June 2010!

In June, Vinschgau and specifically the city of Martell will host an event that wants to celebrate the fruit that is produced here abundantly: strawberries!

So these sweet berries will be the protagonists of a whole weekend!

Due to the mild climate and many days of sunshine the area around Martell is suitable for the cultivation of strawberries and their ripeness.

Here the succulent and delicious red fruits ripen and grow very slowly with a particular and unique aroma.

The festival will open with the cutting of a giant strawberry cake (entry in the Guinness primates for its size). And during the celebrations there will be also elected this year's Queen of Strawberries.

The party wants to be a thanksgiving to land by farmers for the wonderful strawberries they harvest.In addition to strawberries - the undisputed protagonists during the festival - you can also enjoy the various booths at the many local products and traditional cuisine of South Tyrol.

The event takes place in a unique setting: those in the mountains of Vinschgau and Martelltal. One more reason why you shouldn't miss this event marked by sweetness!
