Bozen and the Wine Road of South Tyrol

Wine road in South Tyrol is a very extensive area in which focuses the 90% of the production of wine in South Tyrol.

Salorno, Ora, Tramin, and Kurtatsch are the most important country along the road.

The area of Tramin is famous for Gewürztraminer. In the area of Kurtatsch instead dominated reds like Cabernet, Merlot and Lagrein. In the vineyards of Enga and Ora grow grapes of Schiava and Lagrein.

Even the area around Lake Kaltern and Eppan, perhaps thanks to very mild climate has a great production of wines.

Among whites could enjoy: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Müller Thurgau. Among the red instead Schiava, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon
