The winegrowing process

The harvest season of South Tyrolean wine last from September to October. The vintage is the most important period of winegrowing.

First of all, the grapes coming from the vineyards needed to be controlled by the winegrowers. Depending on which wine sort – white, red, rosé, the winegrowers decide how long and with which treatment the grapes have to be treated.

The different treatments decide the taste and the freshness of the wines and most of all the quality of the wine.
